39 weeks and Spring Break

This week was Spring Break for Adam and the kids, so we all had extra time this week and it was really nice!

I worked every day, just not as many hours.  I also got my hair did and my nails doneπŸ’… so I officially gave the baby permission to arrive :D

Gotta remember the belly!!

At this point, these are the types of updates I am getting!!  Cannot wait to see how much hair s/he has and what color it will be!!  I've had a LOT of heartburn this pregnancy :)

Anderson and Izabella stayed two nights with Mammaw and Pappaw and then they each stayed one night by themselvees at Gigi's, which also gave US one child at a time for two nights.  Adam has been working on clearing out the woods behind our house to put up this Ninja line Izabella used her Christmas money on.  While they were at Mammaw's, he FINALLY finished it and got it put up!  She loves it (and is really good at it!)

This is what I see from the back porch LOL  Adam plans to put a gate in the fence this summer.

There is still quite a bit I still want to do before the baby is born, but the weather was so nice, I enjoyed sitting outside watching them!!

Adam did get the mini crib put together!  I heard him muttering, "Hard to believe there's going to be a little monster in this thing soon." 😁

He also did a lot of this:

One of the nights both kids were gone, Adam and I decided to go to our favorite place to eat in college, Marketplace Grill.  They have changed the atmosphere quite a bit but the food did not disappoint at all!!

Baby, this is your father. HAHAHA

The new MINI Chocolate Mess was the perfect size for us to share :)

We finished out Spring Break by helping put Easter baskets together at church for families that need them, followed by Izabella's softball scrimmage!

And church this morning!  "Official" "due date" is tomorrow LOL  But we all know that means nothing and that this baby will come when THEY are ready and NOT because I am impatient, or uncomfortable, or can't bend over anymore, or tired of being pregnant.  He is still wiggling all around, and he and I are doing perfectly so there is no reason to intervene.  I am betting on an April baby, maybe Easter!?  That would just be the most special thing ever πŸ’Ÿ

38 weeks

Well, a busy work week last week followed by a non stop weekend took its toll and I ended up swollen and with higher than normal blood pressure.  I took two days off work and am now taking this not-so-tasty concoction every few days and feeling soooo much better!!!

My ankle bones and leg muscles are visible once again πŸ˜‚

I love midwifery care because during my appointments (one full hour of face to face time with my provider), she can pick up on small things like the fact that I don't like to slow down and Shea could tell I had overdone it.  She also knew I needed a hug and to be told everything was going to be all right!!  And she was right.  SO incredibly thankful for options besides mainstream medical care.πŸ’“

Another pic of our useless cat πŸ˜‚

One of Adam's softball players braided Izabella's hair

Izabella has decided she wants to play softball, and boy is she excited!!!  Here she is examining her schedule!  Games start on my "due date" of March 29th :)   She is so excited that her baby brother or sister will be at most of her games😍

We went to a Robinson game last week and she sat in the dugout the entire time and went out to huddle with the team with Adam talked to them!  She loved it!  Here are some pics from practice :)

Belly pic when I think of it!!!!

Been thinking of ways to make things easier once the baby is here.  This time around, I am just going to accept I will be exhausted for several several weeks and I am not going to stress out about a baby that doesn't give me much sleep.  I have been making more casseroles, but Adam warned me we didn't have anymore room in the deep freeze LOL.  Anderson was asking me why I was cooking so much and I was explaining to him that my babies don't allow me to do much besides hold them and nurse them and that he was still going to want to eat!   I've been thinking about things to ask visitors to help with when they come over!  Aside from walk the dog or shovel snow, I think this graphic is a great start!

37 weeks and birthday trip for the kids!!

Things that made me cry this week:

1. This email update

2.  A little 14 month old boy I see at a daycare had on a shirt that said "Boys will be boys," and then the second "boys" was scratched out and it said "Good humans."

(and BTW in case you didn't know, I am not a crier LOL)

We decided to take the kids to Grand Country Inn in Branson this weekend to celebrate their birthdays early!!!  And to take one last trip as a family of FOUR (insert more crying)  I've always heard about it but we decided to try it out!  We got a "bunk room" next to the water park, and there was also an arcade, black light mini golf, laser tag, and go karts!!!

We discovered a new favorite restaurant- Grand Country Buffet!  It was soooo good, lots of fresh fruits, homemade casseroles and chicken pot pie (Adam's fave!)

The black light mini golf was so awesome!!

Black Light teeth smiles!!

This was taken in line for laser tag!

Adding up the scores for mini golf!

Adam got first, I got second, Anderson got third, and Izabella got fourth :)

She was so excited that she could ride ALL the slides!!

I have never been to a water park while pregnant, so I didn't something I never thought I would do.  I don't own a maternity swimsuit, so I wore one of my two piece swimsuits.  Thankful for my body and what it can do!  I basically have a full grown baby in my belly right now!  When I wasn't watching the kids or taking pictures, I stayed in the lazy river a lot because it felt REALLY good on my hips and belly :)

Modeling this super cute fanny pack for my friend, Ashley.  She was going to Colorado for spring break and wanted one, so I bought this one with the intention of mailing it to her to use!  Pregnancy brain set it down outside of laser tag and I never made it home with this gorgeous rainbow holographic goodness that I bought!!😭😭😭

Fun at the arcade

We stopped at Hurts Donuts on the way home for one final sugar rush :)

Adam got a boring Long John.

Thankful for a fun trip and getaway!!  These two are going to be the best helpers and big siblings πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“  Time to get back home and rest up for baby!  Oh yeah, and maybe get a crib :)

All because two people fell in love...
