41 weeks- we knew we would still be here!!!

I felt great at the beginning of this week, even with all the questions when I showed up at work every single day.  However, by Friday, I was just feeling emotional and sad.  And also a little uneasy with it being Easter weekend, part of me hoping we all got to do our Easter activities, and part of me hoping to go into labor.  I was really glad to finally leave work Friday afternoon.  I also took my therapy tote out of my car and secretly hoped I wouldn't have to load it back up come Monday morning.

In the meantime, I made sure to go to bed early every night and nap when I could so I was rested in case I did go into labor.

After church on Saturday, I signed up the kids for an Underwater Easter Egg hunt!  We weren't sure what to expect but they had a blast!!

EASTER SUNDAY:
I had planned to have an Easter baby.  But there wasn't a sign of labor, so instead of staying home and sulking like I wanted to do, we went to Kenny and Pat's for Easter dinner and Egg Hunt.  It was gorgeous outside, so I am glad we went!

The only baby Adam has to hold right now- our 9 month old nephew, Owen

40 weeks and I can't stop making casseroles

These are the updates I get now.  I don't believe for a second my baby is LATE TERM.  My baby will come when she is ready to be born.  Due dates are not expiration dates.  My baby is doing great and we are both perfectly healthy!

Things that made me cry this week:  pretty much everything.  Always songs at church.  I know my baby will be here any minute and I cry thinking about that.  I wonder if I will stop crying once she is here LOL  Probably so.

Poor Anderson said his friends ask when his mommy will have the baby.  He doesn't know.  They ask if it is a boy or girl.  He doesn't know.  LOL  People at work ask if I am dilated any.  I don't know.  (cervical checks are completely unecessary, have risks, and are not accurate at all in predicting labor)  Makes you realize exactly how so many people try to plan everything out!

This is how my week started.  Monday was my due date.  Adam was obviously ready for my call to leave work at any minute LOLOL πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚  (disclaimer:  he DID drive all the way back home after getting to work and realizing his phone was on his nightstand!)

I finished up my casseroles with a breakfast one and also a Pioneer Woman chicken spaghetti.  I think I have 11 in our deep freeze :)  I know better than to spend time trying to read the best way to get my baby to sleep and I know my time is better spent preparing for and making it as easy on myself as possible to function on little sleep!!  The joys of a third baby vs. first one.

Izabella's softball games started this week and she was just ecstatic!  She loves it and she is actually pretty good at it!

Ms. Bailey, one of Adam's players/students that Izabella loves, came to her game on Thursday and brought her flowers!

On Tuesday, Grandpa Mike decided to come down so he accompanied us to Izabella's eye doctor appointment and scouts.

To her chagrin, she does NOT need glasses.

Anderson earned his Webalo rank at his meeting!  It was very disappointing there wasn't a ceremony like usual because it is such a big deal.  Their restrictions are super crazy so we are going to have our own celebration and invite family to all go out to eat to recognize all of Anderson's hard work!!!

My dad wanted a picture with me, but I think it was to make fun of me!!!

Izabella made some brownies for us this week and enjoyed tricking us all :)

This is the baby's bassinet set up in her room.  It has the sound machine in it, and she hung the cloud on the wall.  She told me the next time I get pregnant to not tell her until the end so she doesn't have to wait so long!!!!πŸ˜‚

Today (Saturday) was seriously the best day ever!  We went to church with NO masks!  Arkansas' mask mandate was lifted this past week.  I firmly believe my baby was waiting on all these people to stop wearing those silly/scary masks to be born.  I don't blame her!  I am so sad for all the babies and kids that have missed out on critical social interactions this past year because of masks.  So many social cues, reading facial expressions, not to mention communication has been signifcantly affected and we won't know the long term effects until so much later.

We had church service, followed by lunch and a family scavenger hunt with prizes!  We had to go around town and take our picture at different places.  We had an hour to finish but we finished in 28 minutes so we thought we would win the Go Pro, but the winning team made it back to the church in just 20 minutes!!!  So crazy!

A Kona Ice snowcone truck was at church when we got back, so that was our consolation prize :)

flowers- to celebrate new life and hope
